
USA driver Davey Ray claimed his second successive win in Perth’s Magic Man 34 race at the Kwinana Motorplex this weekend.
Ray stamped his mark on the event early setting the fastest qualifying time, before winning both preliminary races from grids at the rear of the field. Crew Chief Justin Insley perfected the chassis set-up for the feature race, from which Ray drew a 10th place starting Grid. Ray diced through the field to take the lead before lap 10, and from then on was never challenged. Several caution periods closed the field, but each re-start the Synergy powered machine easily drew clear for a convincing victory and $12,000 AUD prize purse. A happy Ray told the crowd after the mighty win “I really want to thanks the De Rosa family for bringing me over,” Ray said. “Obviously we have got the horsepower to do it…we have got the best chassis in New Zealand and Australia that’s for sure. We got to see what it had here tonight…
