Exciting 19yr racing driver Hayden Williams took out his first feature win at Western Springs Speedway on January 15th , piloting his Century Batteries HLR Team Car, the ex-Chili Bowl Synergy V8 #19.
Williams qualified on pole after dominating the heat racing, and was never headed, leading every lap until the checkers. It was a mature drive under testing track conditions and Williams handled the pressure will, including a late charge from Chris McCutcheon as they battled through lapped traffic.
The feature win earned Williams the 2010-11 Auckland Midget Championship.
