Lismore Speedway. Track conditions were difficult, with tire wear a major factor. Ray drove a strategic race, keen to overcome the disappointment of the 2010 title, in which he burst a tire while leading towards the end of the race. An early mistake caused Ray to slip from 4th back to 18th place, but strong run around the outside to work up to 3rd place put him in contention in 2011, however he was still wondering if his run was too late. When leader Michael Pickens suffered a blown tire on the 39th lap, Ray was in position to seize the lead and wheel stand the #71 machine to victory. Ray set his fastest lap on lap 38 of the 40 lap race, timing his run to perfection. A great result for the De Rosa family owned car, Synergy Racing and Justin Insley crew chief.
