Synergy Engines are designed and manufactured by New Zealand based Design and Development company Prototipo.
Head Designer of the Synergy V8 is Dr Simon Longdill. Simon combines both an academic background , a wealth of practical experience and involvement in numerous state of the art engine and vehicle development and design projects. Simons background also includes a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, researching advanced combustion diagnostics in high speed IC engines. He is ably backed up by a well qualified and experienced team of qualified engineers and experienced technicians who share the same passion for results and excellence, and have each been responsible for successful design and development projects.
The company has in-house design and R&D capability with in-house prototyping machine shop. Modern design tools such as 3-D parametric modeling, rapid prototyping, FEA analysis and 1-D Engine Simulation are employed, backed up with dynamometer testing. Key partners are utilised for CNC production part manufacturing and specialist operations.
All engine and other sub-assembly QA and build is undertaken in-house with detailed record keeping and parts tracking.
